The Weston Emergency Medical Service is an all Volunteer Advance Life Support Service located in the Village of Weston in Wood County, Ohio. The unit was formed and operated by the Wood County Commissioners in 1976 as one of 3 Basic Life Support Units for Wood County. At the end of the 1970's the units were turned over to the communities they were located in. The former Chief of the unit paid $1.00 to purchase the squad for the Village. In 1998 the Weston EMS was granted Advance Life Support Status in Ohio.

We are located in the Weston Township Safety Building located at 20761 Taylor Street in Weston, OH 43569. While we are separate from the Weston Township Fire Department, we share the safety building with their units. The EMS has two ACLS Squads in the building, a Chief's office, and a dayroom for report writing and meetings.

The Wood County 911 Dispatch Center is our primary dispach center. The EMS covers an area of 88.1 square miles and includes the Townships of Liberty, Milton, Weston, and the villages of Custar, Milton Center, Rudolph, and Weston. We are assisted by First Responders from the Central Joint Fire District (Liberty Township, Village of Rudolph), the Milton Township Fire District (Milton Township, Villages of Custar, Milton Center), and the Weston Township Fire Department (Weston Township, Village of Weston). Our service is part of the Wood County Fire & EMS Mutual Aid Contract which allows the units to respond into neighboring districts. Our Medical Direction is with the Northwest Ohio EMS Consortium that is affiliated with the Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center and Premier Physician Services.
